Here at Beatnik & Sons, we are always trying to improve the quality of our leather bags and backpacks whether it's from customer feedback or market trends. Thus, we bring good news to people and the environment. We changed our raw materials and the design of our Heritage line products. Now, we bring more practical and minimalist leather goods, produced from our 100% natural genuine Heritage leather.

Firstly, what is Heritage leather?
Heritage leather is genuine leather and of natural origin 100% free of chemicals and heavy metals in its production. In this way, the use of substances considered toxic to the environment is totally avoided, such as chromium, nonylphenol, and dyes. The result is a more natural-looking leather, with vibrant and uniform colors. As well as ensuring greater durability to the product, making its useful life longer than average and avoiding the production of waste.
Heritage leather must comply with strict environmental standards, used by the European Union. For this type of leather, there is a need for low levels of chemicals and inputs that represent operational risks, such as acid.
As well as using natural dyes and tanned with natural vegetable tannins. Leather production also considers animal breeding and care, the correct disposal of waste, and more conscious water consumption. Everything that is part of our responsibility as a brand to ensure that our products are qualified.
Just as we are concerned with establishing fair remuneration relationships with our artisans, Beatnik & Sons is always looking for the use of sustainable and more durable raw materials. We believe that being sustainable means creating products with greater durability, generating less waste and less need for repurchase, taking our Made to Last philosophy seriously.
We're selling colors!
We also reformulated our leather bags and backpacks from the Heritage line. The Joan and Holmes, as well as the stylish backpacks Paul and Kerouac are now renovated. Our logo is now engraved in white with high-quality charcoal, ensuring a more minimalist and stylish tone for our pieces.
We are launching the new Terry flat bag of our Heritage line and designed for those who enjoy going out with few objects. It is ideal for uncompromised rendezvous. It has a YKK zipper closure and an adjustable handle to be worn on the shoulder or pierced. It is entirely handmade in Brazil by our artisans, just like our other products.
With the new Heritage Leather, our products now also have more colors. If you are a fan of ours, you've probably have noticed that. Our models come with leather in traditional colors: black (Stone) and caramel (Tan). And also in Deep Blue, Sand, Green, and yellow (West). The new colors are also available in the Martha handbag, Porter bag models, and in our exclusive Kerouac duffle bag. And of course, also in Ann and Joan wallets.
